Beginish
The four members of Beginish were already well-respected performers in their own right before starting the group. Paul McGrattan comes from Dublin's Northside and is regarded as one of Ireland's top traditional flute players. He recorded a solo album, 'The Frost is All Over', in 1992 and collaborated with co-band member (and former Altan member) Paul O'Shaughnessy on 'Within a Mile of Dublin'. Both are strongly influenced by the music of South Donegal.

Brendan Begley's second solo recording entitled 'We Won't Go Home 'Till Morning' displays his fine accordion- and melodeon-playing skills. Brendan (accordion and vocals) is from the famous musical West Kerry family. He has also recorded with The Chieftains and The Boys of the Lough.

Noel O'Grady from Co. Mayo is a popular bouzouki player accompanying some of Ireland's finest including Matt Molloy, Liam O'Flynn, and Maighréad & Tríona Ní Dhómhnaill. Maighréad & Tríona along with Arty McGlynn and Colm Murphy guest on the eponymously titled debut album 'Beginish'.

The band's second album is due for release shortly.
